I say yes to every opportunity to get into a boat. Sooo thankful for the afternoon sunshine today to provide us with the perfect spring light for Sam & Mike's engagement session! You can't even tell we were dealing with temps in the 40s... haha!

Guys. #cherryblossom season is almost here... I know, I know, it’s a bit late this year but with these warmer temps rolling in hopefully they’ll be here in no time! Which has me wondering... how much interest is there in me hosting some #springminisessions for you later this month or early next month? I’m looking at some date options and have been waiting to see what the blossoms will do! We have both gorgeous cherry blossoms and crab apple blossoms on my property each year, OR there is a possibility I might team up with a local orchard or greenhouse for even more #springblooms goodness. Let me know if you want minis this year by double tapping or dropping a comment! Minis can be used for family, children, engagement, senior or even headshots!

Hands down one of my favorite shots of 2017. It's nothing jaw dropping to most people I suppose, but for some reason I just absolutely love it. I loved that the welcome sign was in the frame, inviting you in to their wedding reception, and I love that they were literally skipping down the hill hand in hand to join their guests in celebrating on this special day. This wasn't a posed or forced moment, it was completely natural, and it takes me right back to that wedding day, like seeing it is ingrained in my head. These are the types of moments that I truly love to photograph. The moments on a wedding day that just happen, that my heart races when I see and I have to try to capture as quickly as possible before the moment is gone. My fingers are working feverishly to guess and change my camera settings while firing off a few shots in hopes that I actually capture the scene since we just came from shooting in the shade and now they're skipping through full sun. Someone recently asked me if I ever get 'bored' as a wedding photographer. No, boredom isn't really something that happens during a wedding haha... It's incredibly challenging, often stressful, and undeniably fulfilling when you get that shot that you love.

Apparently Spring is the new Winter... we went to bed with some snow falling and woke up with a snow covered property. I'm supposed to be seeing cherry blossoms, daffodils and forsythia right now, I'm pretty sure, but instead I keep seeing snowflakes. Holding out hope that the warmer temps that are coming later this week will push some buds and we will have something pretty to remind us it's spring, soon!
